The K21 is now serviceable again subject only to a post maintenance check flight which should take place this weekend (7/8 August) if the weather is reasonable.
Over the last 2 weeks a considerable amount of effort has been expended to get the aircraft through its Annual Inspection and ARC. This year it has involved a complete strip down of the rudder pedal assemblies, front and back, and refurbishment with new cables and nylon tube guides. The old unreadable placards have been removed and some have been replaced with more to come. The aircraft has been cleaned throughout and the wings hard waxed.
The front Turn and Slip Indicator was found to be inoperative and in now placarded as such which precludes any cloud flying until it is repaired or replaced.
My thanks go to the team who have contributed to this exercise including Barry Lytollis, Andy Bardgett and especially to Ian Surley who has carried out the bulk of the work.

Great effort by all those involved, on this, our main workhorse aircraft.
